Join PTSA

PTSA is open to anyone interested in getting involved in supporting our public schools and our youth. You can show your support for our school by becoming a PTSA member. Even if you have no time to give, your membership helps PTSA to pay for newsletters, assist with school improvement projects, host a TGIF dance for students, provide faculty and staff with appreciation luncheons, and provide an 8th grade party at the end of the year. These are just a few of the things that your PTSA does for Mandarin Middle School. 

Please sign up today! Membership costs only $5 a year for an adult and only $3 for a Mandarin Middle School student.  Membership envelopes were sent home with students, or click here for a membership form to print and then fill out and send in with your membership dues attached. Students members will receive discounts at various events for joining MMS PTSA. Remember, you don't have to be a parent, a teacher, or a student to join us; grandparents, community members, and businesses, indeed, anyone who cares about our youth, are also welcome.

Support Fundraisers

It takes money to run the programs we provide and support, so please consider helping us raise that money by supporting our Fundraisers. As always, donations are also welcome, whether from individuals or businesses.  Financial donations, merchandise, or gift certificates are greatly needed for our very active program.  The PTSA is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, thereby making contributions tax-deductible. 

Thank you to all who participated in our first PTSA fundraiser where we sold Mixed Bags and Gourmet Foods. Our next fundraiser will be held in January when we sell Yankee Candle items. Please know that the funds we raise are put back into the school through programs, teacher appreciation activities, and school projects. PTSA fundraisers and the school's fundraiser that was held at the beginning of the year each fund different activities, but all of these activities are for the students and the school. Thank you so much for your support!

Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of the success of our PTSA, our school, and, most importantly, our students.  Volunteer opportunities range from short-term, one-time activities to long-term commitments, and some can even be carried out from home, but whether you volunteer for a few minutes or for much more, the rewards are infinite.

Please note that volunteers must be cleared through Duval County Public Schools. The online application is the best way to get timely clearance.  Clearance is good for two years. If you still have a volunteer card, it is good until it expires, but DCPS now issues a letter instead. Visit the DCPS volunteers page to find out more and access the online application.
